Shawn Carter Peterson is a native of Baltimore, MD. He graduated from Vassar College cum laude with a dual degree in Drama and Africana Studies. Since moving to Los Angeles, Shawn has made a name for himself by becoming a recognized staple in tons of national commercials, and print ads. As one of young Hollywood’s up and coming actors, Shawn's appearances on television have varied from 1 hour dramas like HBO’s Entourage, F/X’s The Shield & FOX’s House to half hour sitcoms like CBS’ How I Met Your Mother & FOX's Til Death . Most recently, Shawn landed roles on Showtime's United States of Tara, TNT's Franklin & Bash, CBS's $#*! My DAD SAYS, TNT's Common Law & ABC's CASTLE. Broadening his breadth of work to also encompass film, Shawn worked on the Lifetime movie Midnight Bayou billed alongside Jerry O'Connell & Academy Award winner Faye Dunaway. He also shared the screen with teen sensation Miley Cyrus in the hit film Hannah Montana-The Movie as well as with Billy Bob Thornton in the upcoming film The Baytown Outlaws. This spring, Shawn will make his blockbuster debut as "Wes" in Stephanie Meyer's THE HOST directed by Andrew Niccol.
